Cheesy Pretzel 5K and 1 Mile Walk

🏃‍♂️ The Cheesy Pretzel 5K is Back!

• Event: The Cheesy Pretzel 5k & 1 Mile Walk is a USATF certified 5k event [IL23028NM] that winds through The Promenade Bolingbrook and surrounding neighborhoods.
• Registration Perks: All participants in the 5k and 1 mile walk will receive an order of Bar Louie's Pretzel Bites and Cheese!
• Shirt and Medals: The first 500 registered participants will receive a moisture wicking long sleeve shirt & Cheesy Pretzel Finisher Medal!
• Age Requirements: Registered runners must be at least 5 years old. Strollers and walkers are welcome to join the event.

🎗️ Why is This Event Important?

• Fundraising: The Cheesy Pretzel 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk is a fundraising event necessary to help raise funds needed to support struggling teens through industry leading programs and services.
• Choose a Charity: Our Charity of Choice program helps you raise money for your favorite local charitable organization.
• Be a Fundraiser: Choose to be a fundraiser and collect pledges to benefit one of several charitable organizations in and around Bolingbrook or make a donation when you register.

💲 Registration Fees

• 5k Registration Fee: $30, if registered by August 31, 2025 at 11:59 pm: $35, if registered by October 4, 2025 at 11:59 pm: $40 on race day.
• 1 Mile Walk Registration Fee: $30, if registered by August 31, 2025 at 11:59 pm: $35, if registered by October 4, 2025 at 11:59 pm: $40 on race day.
• Race Day Registration: On October 5th will be available beginning at 7:00 am ($40 for 5k & 1 Mile Walk).

🕒 Event Schedule

• 7:00 am: Day of Packet Pickup & Day of Registration Opens.
• 7:30 am: Warm-up.
• 8:00 am: 5k start time.
• 8:05 am: 1 Mile Walk start time.

There will be an awards presentation for the 5k event following the finish of the race. Trophies presented to the fastest overall male and female runners. First, Second & Third Place Medals will be presented to the top male and top female finishers in each age category.

👕 Shirt Size Preferences

• First Come, First Serve: Shirt size preferences will be first come, first serve: corresponding to each participant’s race registration date.
• Size Availability: If we run out of a specific size, participants can choose to select a different size or wait for their size to be reordered.

🥤 Post-Race Refreshments

Post-race refreshments will be provided.

📦 Advance Packet Pick Up

• Location: We are offering Packet Pick-Up times before the event at the Bar Louie (619 E Boughton Rd #A, Bolingbrook, IL 60440).
• Schedule: Friday, October 3 from 4 PM - 6 PM (*Tentative Time Schedule): Saturday, October 4 from 10 AM - 12 PM (*Tentative Time Schedule).
