North American Canicross presents RACE AROUND RED TOP! Come join us March 2nd for our third in-person canicross 5k race! New to canicross or have a pup in training? There will also be a 5k Dog Friendly Trail race following the competitive canicross run.

• Race Date: March 2nd, 2025
• Location: Iron Hill Trail Head, Cartersville, GA

• Participant Perks: Each runner will receive a logo race T-shirt and finisher challenge coin!

📅 Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Begins on-site at 7:30 AM along with race day registration
• 8:30 AM: Canicross 2-Dog 5k Start
• 9:00 AM: Canicross 5k Start
• 9:30 AM: Dog Friendly 5k Start

🐶 Dog Participation Guidelines

• Gear Requirement: Dogs in canicross must wear designated canicross gear.
• 2-Dog Class: Requires a single split bungee line with neck line.
• Dog Friendly Class: Face leads, flexi leashes, and no-pull harnesses are not allowed.
• Child Participation: Registered children under 15 must run with a registered adult.

🚫 Event Policies

• No Transfers: No transfers, refunds or deferments allowed.
• No Greet Policy: Dogs must be leashed and under owner's control at all times.
• Reactive Dogs: Muzzles are allowed, and special parking is available.
• Email for Concern: Please email support@nacanicross.com if you have a reactive dog.

🏕️ Camping Information

CAMPING is available at RED TOP MOUNTAIN STATE PARK. Reservations can be made here: Red Top Mountain State Park

🏆 Awards & Prizes

• 2 Dog Canicross 5k: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (Non-Gender Specific).
• Canicross 5K: Awards across multiple categories including Junior, Male, and Female.
• Dog Friendly 5k: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (Male & Female).
• Parking Fees: $5.00 parking fee per vehicle in Georgia State Parks.

🤝 Volunteer Opportunities

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! If you are able to help on race day, it would be much appreciated. We will offer a discount in registration for participating volunteers.

🌧️ Weather and Medical Contingency Plans

Weather contingency plan is in place for extreme weather events, potentially delaying or converting the race to virtual. A medical response plan ensures readiness for any incidents.
