- Event: Join us on Thanksgiving Day at 8AM for the 12th annual University City Turkey Trot!
- Participants: Thank you to all participants who have supported this awesome community race through the years!
- Activity: Join fellow runners, walkers, and fans for a 5k walk/run designed for all of University City to enjoy!
- Post-Race: Enjoy a mini feast featuring food, drinks, games, and music after the race.

- 5k Run/Walk: The University City Turkey Trot features a 5k run/walk.
- Fun Run: A fun run for kids of all ages.
- Costume Contest: A costume contest for all those young at heart.
- Awards: Prizes for first, second, and third place finishers overall: first and second place male and female in each age category: and three prizes for the costume contest.
👕 Registration and Gear
- Turkey Tee Shirt: Our awesome turkey tee shirt is a hit! Please register early.
- Deadline: Register by Friday, November 7, 2025, by noon to ensure you get your tee shirt.
- Medals: Every participant is guaranteed a medal.
- Extras: Any extra shirt inventory will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis upon request after the race.

- Non-Profit: Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas (SCPOC) is a non-profit 501c(3) organization.
- Mission: To partner with anyone working to make a difference in the lives of patients and families affected by Sickle Cell Disease.
- Community Support: The University City Turkey Trot benefits patients and families affected by this hereditary illness.
