🏁 Check in & Body Marking:
- Packet Pickup: Friday, June 13, 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Location: Outside of Payson Pool at Pavilion
- Last-minute pickup: June 15, 5:30-6:30 a.m. Location: Outside of Payson Pool at Pavilion
📏 Distances:
- 5K Walk/Run: 5K
- Regular Sprint Tri: 5k run (3.1 miles), 18k bike (11 miles), 300 yard swim (lifejackets permitted)
- Team Sprint Triathlon: Teams can register with one doing each leg (group pricing applies).
- 12 and Under Super-Sprint Tri: 1.25-mile run, 2-mile bike, 100 yard swim (lifejackets permitted)
🏃♀️ Sprint Triathlon Details:
Run:
Heading east toward Peteetneet Road (600 E), runners will turn south to run up the canyon until they meet the police turnaround at about 1.5 miles. The 5K ONLY runners will use the same 5K course, at the same time, leaving at 7 a.m. RUN ROUTE ON STRAVA.
T1:
Runners will enter Transition 1 (T1) from the Main Street side, grab their bikes and helmets and exit out the other side of the transition area.
Bike:
Racers will leave the transition area on foot, mount their bicycles on the road, and will continue along an 11-mile route through blooming cherry orchards and beautiful farms. BIKE ROUTE ON STRAVA.
T2:
Dismounting your bike on Main Street, participants will walk their bikes into the transition area to prepare for the last leg of the race, the swim!
Swim:
For the first time, the swim will be the last discipline. Racers will enter the pool and complete 300 yards while swimming in each lane. Times are recorded upon exit.
12 and Under Super-Sprint Tri:
- Run: A mile run around the ball fields, led by a Payson Cross Country athlete. RUN ROUTE
- Bike: A 2-mile loop on quiet Payson City streets, led by a seasoned cyclist. BIKE ROUTE
- Swim: Four lengths (100 yards) in the pool with life jackets permitted.
- Note: One parent or trusted adult is welcome to race alongside their children if needed.
⏱️ Timing Chip System Awesomeness:
RunnerCard will be providing our chip timing. Pick up a print-out of your time and ranking shortly after you finish.
🎉 Finish Line/Spectator Area:
Your friends can enjoy a fun spectator area filled with vendors, kids' activities, and music while you race. You'll receive a finisher medal at the finish line!
🏊♀️ Early Access to Open Swim!
This year, each participant will receive four wristbands for early entry to Payson Pool's open swim at 9:00 a.m.! Additional wristbands are available for purchase during registration.
🥇 Awards:
Participants receive a swag bag with a t-shirt, race bib, finisher medal, pool wristbands, and sponsor items.
Special awards are given to top finishers in various categories for both the Sprint Triathlon and 12 and Under Super-Sprint Triathlon.
💰 Registration Prices:
- Sprint Triathlon Individual Racers: $60 entry fee through December 31.
- Sprint Triathlon Teams: $120 entry fee through December 31, includes swag bags and t-shirts.
- 12 and Under Super-Sprint Triathlon: $30 entry fee through December 31.
- 5K ONLY: $25 entry fee through December 31.
All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Race insurance will be available during the registration process.
