🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Come join our 3rd Annual It's A Mardi- 5K race as we run through the Alan E. Sims Cedar Hill Recreation Center and enjoy running/walking through trees that invite peace. Can't run with us? Run it virtually.

🍔 Event Highlights

• Food Vendors: Food vendors will be there to join in on the fun.
• Swag: Great swag including designer shirt, custom medal and beads.
• Timing: Chip-timing and free text messages with live results.
• Awards: Awards for best costumes and great post-race food.

• Costume Awards: Awards for Best Dressed & Biggest Team!
• Biggest Group Award: 10 or more to a group to receive the biggest group award!
• Overall Awards: Male and Female Overall winners will be awarded.
• Age Category Awards: Top 3 Male and Female for age categories from 10-79.

🗓️ Race Day Schedule

• Date: Sunday March 1st, 2025
• 6:30 am - 7:30 am: Packet Pickup
• 7:40 am: National Anthem
• 8:00 am: 5K Start
• 9:00 am: Awards Ceremony
• 9:15 am: Course closes

🔧 Volunteer Opportunities

• Packet Pickup: Help with packet distribution.
• Aid Station: Provide water to participants and keep the course clean.
• Course Monitor: Redirect traffic and guide participants.
• Cheer Squad: Bring pom poms, horns, and instruments to encourage runners.

📄 Refund/Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: All Lace Up Running events proceed rain or shine. No refunds.

In the event of extreme weather, the start time may be delayed or the course altered for safety.

If conditions become unsafe, the event may be cancelled at the discretion of the Race Director.

If unable to participate, you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal and run the race virtually.
