🌟 WE ARE KICKING OFF THE CHAMBER'S HEALTH & WELLNESS WEEK

• Opportunity: We are excited to kick off The Chamber's Health & Wellness Week, the perfect opportunity to explore the area's amazing health-focused resources!
• Participation: Over 80 businesses from Bluffton and Hilton Head Island are participating, offering a wide range of health and wellness specials, activities, and free experiences for you to try.
• Focus: Whether you’re just starting out or continuing your health journey, this week is packed with opportunities to find what works best for you.
• Community: Join us in celebrating health, wellness, and community!

✨ MORE THAN JUST A 5K

• Event Start: It all starts with the WAVES TO WELLNESS 5K - but it doesn't stop there!
• Showcase: Businesses from Bluffton and Hilton Head Island will be showcasing their services and products, giving you a firsthand look at how they can support your health journey.
• Exploration: From fitness and nutrition to holistic care and wellness products, this is your chance to explore new options.
• Connection: Connect with local experts, and kickstart a healthier you.

🎖️ WHAT MAKES THE WAVES TO WELLNESS 5K SPECIAL

• A 5K Run / Walk: Professionally timed & scored with awards to the top finishers - we are rooting for ya!
• The Course: The 5K starts and finishes at the Tiki Hut. It is entirely on the HARD + FLAT + WIDE beach at low tide.
• Local Health & Wellness Businesses: This will be the largest and most diverse gathering of our local health & wellness businesses.
• The Post Race Party: We are planning a full morning of healthy fun at the Tiki Hut with live music, hot & cold beverages, and healthy snacks.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 CREATE A TEAM

• Team Award: We are awarding the Team with the greatest number of members!
• Participation: It’s not about being the fastest—it’s about not letting your friends outpace you!
• Special Awards: We’ll be giving out special TEAM awards so make sure to get all your squad involved.
• Team Registration: Don't forget to register under the same TEAM NAME so your participation counts.

📅 EVENT SCHEDULE

• Friday - January 10: Packet Pickup Opens at 4 PM, Closes at 6 PM.
• Note: There is no race day registration.
• Saturday - January 11: Race day activities, including Packet Pickup from 8 AM to 8:45 AM.
• Awards Ceremony: Begins at approximately 10:20 AM.

• Professionally Timed: Each registration includes a professionally timed & scored 5K.
• Custom Awards: Awards for top finishers.
• Finisher Medals: Custom finisher medals for participants.
• Post Race Party: Enjoy snacks, live music, and health activities.

A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Island Recreation Center.

• Course Description: The WAVES TO WELLNESS 5K promises the best that Hilton Head has to offer.
• Start / Finish: All races start and finish oceanfront at the Tiki Hut.
• Running Environment: Ideal temperatures and beautiful views along the beach.
• Dolphins: Keep an eye out as you run!

🌡️ AVERAGE TEMPS ON RACE DAY

Average temperatures in January are low 40s / high 60s. Expect a sunny and cool/mild morning on race day.

🏆 AWARDS & RESULTS

• Awards: Male & Female Top 3 Overall and in Age Divisions.
• Ceremony Timing: Expect the awards ceremony to begin ~ 10:20 AM.
• Presence Required: Award winners must be present to receive their award.
• Results Notification: Preliminary results will be emailed to participants shortly after their finish.
