💖 Event Overview
ABWR has teamed up with two local charities to help with fire relief efforts. Portion of proceeds will go to California Community Foundation and Pasadena Humane Society.
It's time for our Valentine's Day 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon fun run/walk!!!
🕖 Check-In and Start Times
- Check-in: 7-7:30AM for everyone
- Start: 7:30AM
- Half Marathon Cut-off: 10:45AM
- Early Start: Please email for early start abetterworldrunning@yahoo.com
📍 Location Details
Address - Please check in at the tables closest to 54th Place, at the start of the beach path. NOT near Claremont Ave. Long Beach path in Belmont Shores -- 5400 E. Ocean Blvd. Long Beach, CA 90803 (off of 54th Place and Ocean Blvd.)
Do not use Apple Maps app as a GPS, use the Google Maps or Waze app. There is a photo of the map on the website -- www.abetterworldrunning.com
🛑 Parking and Facilities
- Plan Ahead: PLEASE PLAN ON CARPOOLING AND GETTING THERE EARLY TO FIND PARKING.
- Restrooms: Bring toilet paper just in case as the beach restrooms are not always fully stocked that early in the morning.
- Results: All participants will have their results posted with their names and times.
- Photos: FREE pictures for everyone posted on our Facebook page after the event!
🏃 Race Distances and Routes
- 5k: Out and back route: Route Link
- 10k: 2 x 5k loops
- 15k: 3 x 5k loops
- Half Marathon: 3 x 4.36 mi loop: Route Link
👶 Stroller and Time Limits
Running/walking with a stroller is allowed. 3:15 time limit for the half marathon. If more time is needed, please email us at abetterworldrunning@yahoo.com for an early start.
🏅 Finisher Medals and Photos
- Finishers: ALL finishers get a medal.
- Results Posted: All results will be posted after the event on our website usually the evening of the event on www.abetterworldrunning.com
- Photos: Free photos are posted on our Facebook page -- www.facebook.com/abetterworldrunning
- Experience: We emphasize a more relaxed, fun and personal racing experience!
