Gallatin Shamrock Run 5k & 10k (Tennessee)

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

The 11th annual Gallatin Shamrock Run takes place in Historic Downtown Gallatin, Tennessee on Saturday, March 8, 2025. It starts at the Gallatin City Hall and winds through beautiful downtown Gallatin. This primarily flat course is great for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The 10K participants will run the 5K course twice and have 90 minutes to complete the race. Participants in the 5K will be grouped by estimated completion time and have 60 minutes to finish. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their most creative St. Patrick’s Day attire and to enjoy the festivities at the start/end of the race. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers male and female, and awards will be given for the best St. Patrick's Day costume and the most team spirit. This year's race is presented by Primrose School of Gallatin.

🎉 Proceeds & Purpose

Proceeds from the Race go to the Gallatin Chamber Foundation. The Gallatin Chamber Foundation is the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce’s 501(c)3 component that exists to encourage, promote, and support innovative enhancement projects and creative initiatives within the City of Gallatin.

⏰ Race Timing

• Completion Time: All Participants must complete the race by 9:00 AM.
• 10K Start Time: Participants must be ready to line up at the start line by 7:00 AM.
• 5K Start Time: Participants must line up by 7:15 AM. Nobody will be permitted to start the race after 7:30 AM.
• Pacing: The 10K participants have 90 minutes, while the 5K participants have 60 minutes to finish.

🚦 Important Information

• Road Closures: All roads included along the route will close between 6:45 am and 7:00 am!
• Arrival Time: We advise arriving by 6:30 AM - 6:45 AM at the latest.
• PARKING: Available along SMITH STREET. Do not try to park along Main Street, Franklin Street, North Water Avenue, or along the main route to get to the start location.
• Packet Pick Up: Thursday, March 7th, 2 pm to 5 pm: Friday, March 8th, 10 am to 5 pm: and 6:15 am on Saturday, March 9th.

👕 Costumes & Contests

• Costume Contest: Don't forget the COSTUME Contest! Don your best Irish / Green attire!
• Team Spirit: Awards will be given for the most team spirit.
• Cheer Groups: Family members and friends are encouraged to line up along the route to support participants.
• Clear Backpacks: Participants who want to use a backpack during the race may only bring CLEAR backpacks: all others are prohibited.

💡 Transfer & Refund Policy

No refunds will be issued for this event: however, you may transfer your registration to someone else through March 5, 2024. Please remember we do not control the weather. Should inclement weather become an issue, an email will be sent to the email address you registered under. We will also post to our social media accounts @gallatinchamber.
