- Significance: The first and only national breast cancer walk hosted by a black-led organization for black women.
- Awareness Purpose: Held in April to draw attention to National Minority Health Awareness Month.
- Community Impact: Over the last 15 years, more than 4,000 participants from around the United States have attended annually.
💖 Support and Benefits
- Honor and Celebration: Participants honor and celebrate black women diagnosed with breast cancer.
- Fundraising: A portion of the funds raised supports Sisters Network Inc. Karen E. Jackson Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP).
- Financial Assistance: The program pays for 3D mammograms for uninsured women.
- Support for Survivors: Provides financial assistance to breast cancer survivors who are currently in treatment.
