It is back in 2025!!!
2018 was bitterly cold, 2019 was warm and inviting.....2020 was a bit windy....2021 was virtual...2022 was a torrential downpour...2023 was a little chilly...2024 was on the warmer side again...what will 2025 be like?! No matter the weather, you'll get a chocolate smelling shirt as a memorandum for your efforts after the holidays!

💖 Supporting Minds in Motion Children’s Museum
The Almost-Famous New Year’s Day Hot Chocolate 5k Run is organized to help raise money for Minds in Motion Children’s Museum. That coupled with having a fun on New Years Day, is something you don't want to miss out on.
- Foundation: Established by the local community
- Goal: To give children a physical place to grow a love for learning
- Current Status: Building efforts continue despite pandemic challenges
- Updates: More information will be announced at the run!
🏞️ Course Information
The 5k will be set on the trails around The Salisbury Park and The Zoo trails close to the river. There are some roots and some rocks along the course, so be prepared. The majority of the race is composed of crushed gravel trails, creating a fast scenic race.
🍫 Race Day Amenities
- Aid Stations: Water and snacks available at mile 1.5ish
- Finish Line: Water and delicious hot chocolate (+ fixings)
- Course: Very well marked and measured
- Prizes: Overall and age group awards
