🏃♂️ Event Overview
We cordially invite you to participate in the Light of the World Academy’s Annual RUN FOR THE GOLD 5K and Kids Run. This event will take place on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, as part of Pinckney’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. In our previous years, we have hosted anywhere from 300 to 650 runners (depending on March’s weather) and their adoring spectators. The run is a mixture of Michigan country dirt roads, paved trail, and the streets of downtown Pinckney—a course that attracts all types of area runners.
💲 Pricing
- Standard entry fee: $30 until March 9th
- Late registration: $35 from March 10-14
- Race day fee: $40 (online registration only)
- Kids run: $10, T-shirt included with entry as supplies last
⏰ Schedule
- 5K Start Time: 10:00 am
- Kids Run Start Time: 11:00 am
- Awards Ceremony: 11:30 am
- Parade Start: Kicks off shortly thereafter
Awards for the overall male and female winner. Medals will be given to the top 3 runners in each age category for both male and female in the 5K race. Age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and older.
🎽 Kids Fun Run
Kids Fun Run participants will receive a dog tag necklace as they finish.
📊 Timing
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live and on this website after the race.
