Join us at our 18th annual event on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

🔥What is the Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth?

• Event Types: Participants have the opportunity to register for a timed 5K run, timed 10K run, or untimed two-mile walk.
• Virtual Option: A virtual option is available for those unable to join in person.

💡Why Do We Do It?

• Community Assistance: Proceeds benefit local utility assistance programs to help friends, family, and neighbors pay their utility bills.
• Annual Commitment: Since 2007, the event has brought attention to the struggles of keeping lights on and homes heated.
• Year-Round Need: Utility assistance is required throughout the year, not just in winter.
• Fund Distribution: Funds raised are managed by Dollar Energy Fund, Inc. and allocated to local programs.

📅What Are the Details?

• Date & Location: Participants will gather on March 1 in Aksarben Village.
• Event Schedule: Timed events (5K and 10K) start at 9 a.m., untimed 2-mile walk begins at 9:15 a.m.
• Awards: Distribution of awards for top finishers in the 5K and 10K events.
• Virtual Participation: Complete your distance on March 1 if participating virtually (No swag or awards for virtual participants).

💰How Much Does It Cost?

Timed 10K

• Pricing: $35 (Black Friday through January 31), $45 (February 1 through February 26), $55 (Day-of registration).
• Route: View 10K route here.

Timed 5K

• Pricing: $30 (Black Friday through January 31), $40 (February 1 through February 26), $50 (Day-of registration).
• Route: View 5K route here.

Untimed 2-mile Walk

• Pricing: $25 (Black Friday through January 31), $30 (February 1 through February 26), $40 (Day-of registration).
• Children: Children 12 and under may register for free with a registered adult.
• Route: View walk route here.

Virtual Run/Walk

• Pricing: $30 (Black Friday through March 1).
• Note: No swag/giveaways will be provided for virtual registrants.
