Come join us for a colorful day of fun at Eldersburg Elementary School! The Color Run is a fantastic event where you can run, walk, or even skip through a rainbow of colors. Get ready to be splashed with vibrant hues as you make your way through the course. It's a great way to get active, have a blast, and support our school's PTA.
🏃 Race Details
- Distance: One mile, untimed event.
- Color Stations: Runners will be doused in colored powder at various points along the course.
- What to Wear: Participants should wear white at the starting line.
- Post-Race Fun: Enjoy live music, snacks, and crafts after finishing the race.
🙌 Who Can Participate
Color Runners vary in demographics and reasons for running. With no winners or official times, The Color Run caters to everyone—first-time runners to seasoned athletes.
💰 Supporting Our School
The proceeds of the race will go directly to the Eldersburg Elementary School playground replacement fund.
📅 Event Schedule
- Included with Registration: Race t-shirts, water, snacks, and kids' crafts post race.
- Free for Kids: 3 years and under can attend for free, no registration necessary.
- T-Shirt Pickup: At Eldersburg Elementary on Friday, October 25th, from 5:00-7:00 PM, and on Sunday at 8:00 AM before the race.
- Parking: Available in the front and back lots of the school and in the neighborhood across the street. Please do not park on the grass.
🏞️ Race Course
The race course will be on the grounds at Eldersburg Elementary School, spanning 1 mile through grass. Strollers are allowed, but be prepared for hills and grass.
🕒 Heats and Attire
- Multiple Heats: Races will start every 10 minutes to ensure participants are adequately colored.
- Attire Reminder: Be sure to wear your white shirts on race day.
- Post-Race Activities: Enjoy entertainment, snacks, water and kid crafts after the race!
- Registration Deadline: Register by October 10th to guarantee t-shirt size.
