Engineers Day Weekend: Experience Sault Sainte Marie to its fullest.
Event Start: Celebration of engineering feats at the Soo Locks starts at 9am on June 27th.
Race Time: The 5K will begin at 6:00pm.
Packet Pickup: Begins at 4:00pm near the boat launch parking lot.

🌳 Course Information

The course starts at the Ashmun Bay Boat Launch, goes to Ted Caffey Memorial Trail, then South Street and back. It is 100% soft surface consisting of gravel road and snowmobile trail, featuring views of:

Ashmun Bay: Scenic views throughout the race.
Freighters: Enjoy glimpses of these majestic vessels.
Power Canal: Start of the canal visible along the route.
International Bridge: A picturesque backdrop for participants.

🏆 Age Groups and Awards

Awards will be given for:

Age Groups: 1st place in divisions: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Overall Winners: Top Male, Top Female, Top Master's (40+), and Top Grandmaster's (60+)

🍉 Finish Line Services

Post-race refreshments include:

Beverages: Water and Gatorade available.
Snacks: Bananas, watermelon, bags of chips, and fruit snacks.

📈 Results and Timing

Onsite and online results will be provided by Yooper Running Company. Chip timing via Race Result Duo Transponders will be used for scoring and results with a common start/finish timing mat. A link to results will be sent closer to race day for your convenience.
