NEW this year!

• Finish line party: There will be a food truck with food and coffee (for purchase) serving at 10:00am (will serve coffee starting at 8:00am).
• Portable toilets: Two portable toilets available near race headquarters for your convenience.
• Packet pick-up: Additional packet pick-up option available the day prior to the event. You are always welcome to register/check in on race morning, but now you have the option to pick up your packet on Friday, February 7th. Please check back for location and time.
• Wellness Expo: You do not have to be a paid and registered participant to enjoy the Wellness Expo and raffle--everyone is welcome.

🚀 Fundraising Goals

The 5K run/walk will raise funds to benefit the MUCS Children's Health Wellness Works Program. Come run or walk a USATF-certified 5K course to help us in our work of supporting healthy lifestyle habits for kids and their families. We also have a lot of exciting raffle prizes to offer, so bring cash or a card to purchase raffle tickets and participate in the drawing after the race (no checks will be accepted).

Your registration fee includes:

• T-shirt: A stylish race t-shirt.
• Race packet: Exciting freebies, water, and healthy snacks.
• Timing and awards: Official timing with overall/age-group awards (three deep).
• Finisher's medal: A medal will be given to all who complete the entire 5K course.

The Wellness Expo, day-of registration, and on-site packet pick-up begin at 8:00 am, mandatory pre-race meeting is at 8:45 am, group warm-up kicks off at 8:50 am, and the run/walk starts at 9:00 am. The finish-line party including food truck (food for purchase), Wellness Expo, prize raffle, age-group awards, and healthy snacks will follow!

💪 Wellness Works Program Information

MUSC Children's Health Wellness Works program is a wellness/weight management program and lipid treatment clinic for kids and teens. We work with kids and their families to promote healthy habits through individualized clinic visits, group education sessions, and a fitness program. We have had fantastic success and we currently have over 500 families enrolled from the greater Charleston area! Since we are a non-profit program, we rely heavily on fundraising events that also promote our healthy message through exercise and health promotion.
