41st Annual Spirit Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The 41st Annual Spirit Run is scheduled for Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. With 9 competitive road races, and the 5k Family Walk, Family Mile, and Toddler Trot, Spirit Run offers running and walking events for every age, toddlers to grandparents, and every fitness level, casual to elite. Spirit Run even includes your BFF canine with the Dog Mile, in which humans age 13 & older run or walk with their dogs.

🏅 Competitive Races

• Adult Races: Open and Masters Mile, Elite Mile, Dog Mile, and Adult 5k.
• Youth Races: Youth 5k (high school and younger), age based 1/4-1-mile races for ages 4-18, and Dog Mile for age 13 & older.
• Combo Registration: Rather than registering for each race separately, they register for the "Combo" and pay a very discounted price for the second race.
• Finisher Medals: All race finishers - adult, youth, and canine - receive a "Spirit" medal at the finish line.

👕 Spirit Shirts

Spirit Run offers "Spirit" shirts as follows:

• Youth Events: Entry fee covers a shirt which must be picked up at Spirit Run.
• Adult Events: Until February 28, an adult shirt is available for a nominal fee. Shirts purchased during registration must be picked up at Spirit Run. After February 28th, shirts and other merchandise may be purchased at Spirit Run's online shop.
• Online Spirit Shop: Shirts and other merchandise may be purchased, December 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025, from Spirit Run's online shop.
• Shipping Policy: Items purchased from the online shop will be shipped to your designated address: they may not be picked up at Spirit Run.

🍀 St. Patrick's Themed Features

St. Patrick's themed features include:

• Themed Event Shirt: St. Paddy's themed event shirt and finish medal.
• Costume Contest: Costume contest will have multiple divisions with prizes.
• Special Swag: Registrants may choose from St. Paddy's swag including decorative eyeglasses (first 1000 registrants) and headpieces (first 300).

🏆 Awards and Prizes

Spirit Run offers a cash prize purse in the Elite and Masters Mile and 5k, and non-cash prizes in the Dog Mile and Youth Events. Competitors must participate in their age-appropriate race to be eligible to win.

🎉 Event Highlights

In between the walking and running events, participants and spectators enjoy a Youth & Fitness Expo with food and beverages, live music, massage and shopping for adults, youth activities, health and fitness information, adoptable dogs, and more.

💖 Community Impact

The net proceeds of this long-standing community event benefit youth local schools, youth sports, and other youth causes. Schools and other youth charities sign up to fundraise with Spirit Run. You may, but are not required, credit your entry and make a donation to your favorite one when you register for Spirit Run. You may also create an online Spirit Run giving page and invite friends and family members to donate to your participating school or charity.
