🏃♂️ Race Information
- Register Early: Ensure your spot by registering in advance!
- 5K Rates: Early Bird Rate: now – Dec. 6 = $25: Dec. 7 – 14 = $30
- 1-Mile Fun Run Rates: Early Bird Rate: now – Dec. 6 = $20: Dec. 7 – 14 = $25
- T-shirt Guarantee: Entrants must be registered by Nov. 30 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.
🚫 Participation Rules
- Strollers: No extra charge for strollers.
- Bandit Runners: Prohibited and will be removed from the race by law enforcement.
- Pets: Due to liability issues, no dogs or pets are allowed to participate.
⏰ Event Timing
- Timing Staff: Uwharrie Dash formerly Vac &: Dash staff from Albemarle will time the race.
- Start Times: The 1-mile race will start promptly at 8:00 am and the 5K follows at 9:00 am.
🎽 Registration and Packet Pick-Up
- Bag Contents: Each registered runner will receive a bag containing a t-shirt &: other items.
- Pick-Up Time: Bags available for pickup from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm December 13th, at Star Elementary School Gym.
- Day of Race Pick-Up: Bags may also be picked up on race day from 7:30 am – 8:30 am at the school.
🗺️ Course Description
- Location: Both races take place in a nice residential course in the town of Star.
- Start and End: Course starts and ends at Star Elementary School on Cotton Creek Road.
- Water Stations: Located at 1- and 2-mile markers and at the finish line.
- Course Maps: Race Course Map, Race Course Map 2
🏆 Awards Ceremony
- Timing: Immediately following the race.
🥇 Award Categories
- Overall Awards: Overall Male 1st, 2nd, 3rd place: Overall Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.
- Exclusions: Overall winners will not be included in the age category awards.
- Age Categories: Individual Male and Female 1st, 2nd, &: 3rd for each age category.
- Age Groups: 9 &: under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
