Wegmans East Avenue Grocery Run

🏃‍♂️ The 15th annual Wegmans East Avenue Grocery Run

Join us in-person or virtually for the 10k run, 5k run/walk or the 1k run/walk to benefit local food pantries! You’ll feel great knowing your registration fee will go directly to Rochester-area organizations providing food, hope and dignity for hungry people.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, donors and volunteers, the 2023 Grocery Run raised more than $66,500 for Rochester-area food pantries. We hope to do even better this year! Please join us and make a difference!

📅 Schedule

• Start Time: The live events start at 8:00 a.m. on November 2nd, 2024.
• Location: Third Presbyterian Church, 4 Meigs St., Rochester.
• Virtual Participation: Choose any distance to run, bike, walk or stroll anytime November 1st-3rd.
• T-shirt Registration: Register by midnight October 6th to receive your preferred size, super-soft performance-fabric commemorative race t-shirt!

🏅 5k Info

• Course Details: 5K participants will enjoy the same fast, flat urban route along East Avenue and Court St.
• Course Highlights: Travel out and back on the east side of the Riverway Trail with amazing views of the river and the city!
• Cash Prizes: Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and master's winners, M/F/NB (must complete 5k in 22 minutes to be eligible).
• Age Group Awards: Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place M/F/NB in 5-year age groups.

🏃‍♀️ 10k Info

• Course Description: 10k participants will love our fast, flat course down beautiful East Avenue, along Court St.
• Scenic Views: Enjoy views of the Genesee River all the way to the University of Rochester!
• Pace Requirements: 10K Participants must keep a 14-minute mile pace and finish within an hour and thirty minutes.
• Awards: Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and master's winners M/F/NB (must complete 10k in 44 minutes to be eligible).

📦 Packet Pick Up (Bibs and T-shirts)

• Encouragement: We strongly encourage you to pick up materials ahead of race day.
• Pick Up Times: Thursday 10/31 and Friday 11/1 from 11 to 7 p.m. at Rochester Running Co.
• Location: 1387 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620 (in College Town).
• Race Day Pick Up: Inside the church downstairs at 6:45 am.

• Volunteers Needed: It takes a lot of people to make this special event happen. You can help by volunteering for course marshals, aid stations, cleanup, and more. More information HERE.
