- Funds: The FUNDS go to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Fund which has awarded over $255,000 MILLION dollars in scholarships.

- Description: The Stampede, a 5K run/walk, IS BACK to kick off a full day of activities for the Western Heritage Weekend.

- Race Format: Participants will run/walk through picturesque downtown, along the route of the Western Heritage Parade.
- Experience: Join the fun of the annual Vaquero Cook-Off after the parade!
⏰ Race Details
- Start Time: Please note the new race start time -- 9 AM. The Parade starts at 10:50 AM.
- New for 2025: Overall Male and Female winners will ride in the Western Heritage Parade behind a "STAMPEDE CHAMPIONS" banner.
- Race Route: 2025 race route includes beautiful downtown and River Walk, with previous construction noted as a factor.
- Web Registration: Closes at midnight on 01/30/2025 for the 5K run/walk.
🚗 Parking Information
- Location: Parking will be at the Cattleman's Lot, available after 7 AM on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Map: Parking map available (even though it may have the wrong year) at designated locations.
- Safety: Arrive early to secure a parking spot given the limited availability.
- Stroller Policy: Strollers will be allowed in the race: however, animals other than service dogs are not encouraged.
🎁 Participant Perks
- Swag Bag: All participants will receive a swag bag.
- Snacks: Enjoy pre-race snacks/beverages and post-race adult beverages and snacks.
- Virtual Run: For those unable to attend in person, a virtual run option is available.
- Results Submission: Participants can submit results and photos if they choose.
🏆 Event Awards
- Age Categories: Awards for age category winners in various brackets from 0-99.
- Overall Winners: Both Male and Female overall winners will receive a special Bronze Longhorn trophy and a gift certificate to Boot Barn.
- Masters Winners: Both Female and Male winners will receive a bronze trophy and will also ride in the parade.
- Team Discount: Teams with a minimum of 10 runners will receive a $5 discount upon reaching 10 runners.
📅 Packet Pick-up & Registration
- Location: Packet pick-up at Alamo Beer Brewery on January 26, 2025, and various other locations prior to race day.
- Onsite Registration: Available beginning at 7:30 AM on race day under the tents.
- Late Registration: Starts at 12:01 AM on January 30, 2025.
