Peace Ridge Sanctuary invites you to our 4th Annual 5k Run for the Animals & 1 Mile Fun Walk on October 4, 2025 on World Animal Day at our Northeast Equine Sanctuary. The purpose of this event is to support the lifesaving work Peace Ridge does every day.

💖 Supporting the Sanctuary

Fundraising Event: This is one of the few fundraising events that Peace Ridge will host this year.
Vital Funds: The funds raised are essential for feeding and providing quality medical care for our rescued animals.
Rescue Efforts: Funds raised will aid us in rescuing more animals in need.
Gratitude: We are tremendously grateful for your participation and any fundraising you undertake.

📍 Location

Scenic Venue: The Northeast Equine Sanctuary is located on the border of Albion & Freedom, Maine.
Lush Landscapes: Enjoy stunning views surrounded by lush fields and forests.
Autumn Beauty: By October, the area will showcase beautiful warm fall foliage.
Sheltered Animals: Meet several gorgeous horses and ponies in a compassionate environment.

🏃‍♀️ Race/Walk Details

Event Types: The race includes a 5k trail run (3.1 miles) & a 1-mile trail walk.
All Levels: Open to all levels of physical fitness.
Nature Experience: Participants will run or walk along the perimeter of each enclosure.
Animal Encounters: Enjoy the company of animals living peacefully as you race or walk.

👕 T-Shirts

The deadline to add a shirt to your registration through RunSign Up was September 8, 2025. However, T-shirts will be available on race day as long as supplies last. You can also purchase on the PRS website! PRS Run for Animals Shirt

This is a family friendly event for all ages! It’s a great day to enjoy the company of fellow animal lovers & plant eaters.

Outdoor Yoga: Pre-Run Yoga and Favorite Animal Pose Yoga for Kids after the race.
Vegan BBQ: Delicious vegan BBQ courtesy of one of our top sponsors, Veggie Life.
Amazing Prizes: Prizes for TOP Fundraisers and TOP 5K finishers.
Event Fun: PRS 5K selfie-frame, booths with sponsor goodies, corn-hole, nature scavenger hunt, and face painting.

9:30 – 11:15 am: Check in opens.
10:15 – 11 am: All-levels Yoga for Runners & Meditation.
11:20 am: Announcements.
11:30 am: Race Starts!
12 pm: BBQ will be up and ready.
12:40 pm: Announcement for Quick reminders: Animal Yoga for Kids starting soon & Raffle Tickets still available till 1pm and check out all the sponsors!
1 - 1:30 pm: Awards & Raffle Prizes Announced.
