The Bob Burns Memorial 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event Date: July 20th, 2025
• Location: Augusta Rail Trail at 31 Union Street, Augusta, ME
• Purpose: To raise money and awareness for The National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) for brain tumor research AND local families living with a brain tumor
• Schedule: Registration opens at 6:30 AM, race starts at 8 AM

🛤️ Race Details

• Warm-Up: Dance session and guest speakers prior to the race
• Route: The race will be on the beautiful paved Kennebec River Rail Trail
• Participants: Walkers, runners, strollers, and leashed dogs are welcomed
• Team Participation: Sign up individually or as a team

🎽 Fundraising Information

• Donation: Fundraise by allowing people to donate through the event site
• Reward: Raise $100 and receive a free race shirt
• Virtual Option: Register for a virtual run or walk if you can't make it

🏅 Awards

• Medals: Awarded to 1st and 2nd place for adult male and female, and youth male and female

💵 Registration Fees

• Children: 5 and under are free
• Ages 6-17: $15.00
• Adults 18+: $25.00 until June 1st: $30.00 from June 1st - July 19th: $40.00 on the day of the event
• Teams: Teams of 3 or more are $20.00 per person
