2nd Annual Allie’s Army 5K Run / Walk to benefit the O’Brien family

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

On March 15, 2024, Kim O’Brien was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. Kim is a 36 year old wife, mom, and teacher at Lloyd Road Elementary in Matawan. Kim grew up in Bradley Beach and currently lives in Hazlet with her family. Her husband Connor also 36 years old has been right by her side through it all. Connor grew up in Brick and works for the Port Authority as a Train Engineer. They have two young children Madison 7 and Kellen 5. The family is grateful to everyone who has shown support during this difficult time. The family is truly honored to be a part of Allie’s Army 5K. Brick PBA Local #230 is proud to host this event and assist the O'Brien family while keeping the memory of our beloved Allie Puccio.

Allie would have wanted us to help other families in need who share the same spirit and love that she had for her family. Allie’s family is extremely honored to continue this event in Allie’s honor as she touched so many lives and was loved by so many.

📅 Race Information

• Location: The 5K will take place at the Drum Point Sports Complex.
• Registration: Registration / Bib-Pickup will begin at 9:00 AM across the street at the Brick PAL (60 Drum Point Road).
• Post-Race: Following the race, participants are welcome to return to the PAL for food/drinks.
• General Attendance: If you're not participating in the race, you are welcome to attend the event and watch the race from several locations.

🚗 Parking / Safety Information

• Parking Locations: Parking will be at two locations. The left parking area of the Brick PAL and Emma Havens Young School.
• Traffic Assistance: Police Officers will be on scene assisting with traffic and crossing participants.
• Directions: Signage and volunteers will be on location directing people where to park.
• Special Assistance: If you require special assistance parking, please park in the PAL lot as there will be designated spots for those requiring assistance.
• Belongings: If you need to leave belongings in the PAL prior to the race, please see volunteers at registration.
