Snowbird Challenge (50k - 26.2 - 13.1 - 5.2 - Relay)

Come get warmed up with a running challenge that will inspire you to your fastest or farthest distance to date!

🌨️ About the Race

• Event: Step into the frosty thrill of the Annual Snowbird Challenge!
• Location: Civic Center Sports Complex – a picturesque winter wonderland.
• Experience: Whether you’re a solo contender or part of a team, gear up to traverse the 2.62-mile loop!
• Challenge: Create unforgettable memories in this unique winter adventure!

🏆 Event Details

• What: Snowbird Challenge & Relay (5 Miles - 13.1 - 26.2 - 50k).
• Distance: Choose Your Distance Challenge! Run as many laps as you can from 5 Miles to 50k.
• Relay Teams: Made up of 2-4 runners completing 12 laps in the same 45-minute format.
• When: All races start at 8am.

📍 Race Location

• Where: Civic Center of Anderson - Sports Complex.
• Address: 144 Civic Center Blvd, Anderson, SC 29621.
• Parking: Follow parking signs to the baseball field on Jim Ed Rice Parkway.
• Packet Pickup: 1 hour prior to your race start time near the starting line.

The new course consists of 100% walking paths, with opportunities to run in the grass. Facilities include indoor bathrooms and a designated area for canopy tents.

🍭 Aid Stations

There will be one aid station at the start/finish of the loop with snacks and beverages including pickles, cookies, and Tailwind Nutrition. Cup-less Event: Please provide your own hydration vessel.

🏕️ Personal Tent Set Up - Drop Bags

Athletes are permitted to set up drop bags or personal tents near the aid station. Please be mindful to maintain a clear course area and take your belongings with you after the event.

⌛ Race Format

• Structure: The race course consists of a 2.62 mile loop on sidewalks and paved paths.
• Timing: A kettle bell will signify the start of each lap: runners have 45 minutes to complete each loop.
• Disqualification: Failing to complete a loop within the time limit results in disqualification.
• Break Times: After each loop, runners must wait for the next start time.
