Why Race for Fragile X Syndrome?

• Impact of FXS: Fragile X syndrome (FXS) is the leading known cause of inherited intellectual disability and the leading single gene cause of Autism.
• Mission: Fraxsocal’s mission is to promote public awareness, and with your help we can accomplish this goal!
• Community Engagement: Provide a forum for families and children with FXS to meet & greet and create a stronger FXS community.
• Research Support: Support research for effective treatments and ultimately a cure for FXS.

Fragile X Community

• Family Fun Day: A Family Fun Day will proceed after the walk with Family, Friends, Food and Fun!
• Connect: It's a great time to chat with other families affected by fragile X syndrome (FXS).
• Inclusive Environment: A nice opportunity for you to take your kid(s) or adult(s) with FXS or any disability for that matter, judgement free.

How to Participate

• Participate in Person: Sign up to walk, run, bike, scoot or stroll (it’s a very family friendly walk/run). Click the "Sign up" button and register yourself and the whole family!
• Participate Virtually: Sign up and register yourself and the whole family! Ensure someone is present to pick up your t-shirts.
• Start a Fundraiser: Start an individual fundraiser (starting goal is $250) and attach it to a TEAM (Starting goal of $2,500).
• Become a Sponsor: We have multiple packages to choose from for companies interested in supporting our cause.

Race Fundraising Goal

Goal: $75,000. Last year we raised over $55,000! Donations can be made by clicking the Donate Tab.
