2025 Lakeland Regional Health Hollis Cancer Center Promise Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Information

The Promise Run will take place rain or shine at the Lake Mirror Promenade in Downtown Lakeland. 121 South Lake Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33801.

• Entry Fees: Non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be deferred to another runner or year.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Date: Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children - Mulaney Auditorium, 1324 Lakeland Hills Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33805
• Date: Friday, February 28, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at same location.
• Parking: Best to park in the lots at the intersection of Lakeland Hills Blvd and Garden Street for Pre Race Day.
• Race Day: March 1, 2025, starting at 6:00am at the Lake Mirror Promenade Registration Tent.

📝 Registration

• Online Registration: Closes Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:59pm.
• In-Person Registration: Available at packet pickup on February 27 and 28, 2025.
• Race Day Registration: Starts at 6:00am at the Registration Tent at Lake Mirror Promenade.
• Payment: Cash and credit cards accepted: Shirt sizes not guaranteed on race day.

🏞️ Course

The Promise Run 10k and 5k races start and finish in downtown Lakeland, following the scenic lakes and historic streets. Both distances are certified courses.

💰 Fees

The earlier you register, the more you save!

• Thru February 22: $45 - 10k Entry Fee: $35 - 5k Entry Fee.
• February 23 – February 28: $50 - 10k Entry Fee: $40 - 5k Entry Fee.
• March 1: $55 - 10k Entry Fee: $45 - 5k Entry Fee.

🎁 What is Included

• Race Packet: Each participant will receive a race packet with race bib featuring a ChronoTrack Race Timing Tag.
• Shirt: High-quality performance shirt: size exchanges will be allowed after the 5K starts on race day ONLY.
• Finishers Medal: Awarded upon completion of the race.
• Awards: Top finishers will receive an award: all welcome to the awards ceremony with post-race refreshments.

⏰ Schedule of Events - March 1, 2025

• 6:00am - Packet Pickup and Registration + Kids Run registration
• 7:00am - 10k start
• 8:35am - 5k start
• 8:45am* - 10k Awards: Kids Run to begin after the completion of the 5k.
• 9:50am* - 5k Awards

*Tentative starts, based on race completion times.

👶 Kid’s Run

Join us for our Kid’s Run! It’s Free! Registration takes place at the Registration Tent, starting after the completion of the 5k.

• Registration: Required by a parent or guardian: each child must wear their race number.
• Finish Line: Finisher’s Ribbons will be distributed to each child.
• Groups: Registered children will be divided into appropriate groups and distances on race day.
• Instructions: Further instructions will be announced at the Finish Line.

🚗 Parking

• Garages: Parking garages on Iowa Street and Main Street are free on weekends.
• Iowa Garage: Closest to the event start and finish line.
• Other Options: Several lots around the promenade are free: arrive early for parking.

🏆 Awards

Please note: To guarantee your award, it must be picked up at the event.

10k Awards

• Overall Division: Top Three Male and Top Three Female.
• Masters Division: Top Male and Top Female (Masters athletes finishing in the overall category will receive an overall award).
• Age Group Division: Top Three Male & Top Three Female in various age groups.

5k Awards

• Overall Division: Top Three Male and Top Three Female.
• Masters Division: Top Male and Top Female (Masters athletes finishing in the overall category will receive an overall award).
• Age Group Division: Top Three Male & Top Three Female in various age groups.

👕 Shirt Sizes

Shirts will be unisex sizes XS through 3XL. Exchanging of sizes can be done at the race after the start of the 5k.

🚫 Prohibitions

Prohibited on the 5k race course are as follows:

• Bicycles
• Animals/Pets
• Skateboards
• Skates/Rollerblades

Prohibited on the 10k race course are as follows:

• All of the above
• Strollers/baby joggers/babies in carriers

Stroller Policy for 5k:

• You will not need to register your child(ren), but they must stay in the stroller and cannot be carried or ride on shoulders.
• All strollers must start at the back of the starting group.
• Strollers can only pass other people in the crowd if you are walking: please do not run with a stroller.
