🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Annual Fallen Heroes Memorial 5K run generates funds which enable our foundation to continue its exclusive purpose to meaningfully serve the past, present and future members of the Lakeland Police Department. With Foundation dollars, we will continue to support the many programs of the Foundation to include:

• Education Grants: Providing educational support to members and their families.
• Financial Assistance: Helping members suffering extreme hardships.
• Retired Police Canines: Assisting retired police canines in need.
• Fallen Heroes Memorial: Maintaining the memorial honoring our seven fallen officers.

📦 Early Packet Pick-Up

Packets and bibs can be picked up at the Lakeland Police Department on:

• Date: Thursday, May 15 or Friday, May 16
• Time: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
• Location: At the Fallen Heroes Memorial at the entrance of the station.

🏁 Day of Race Packet Pickup

Packets can also be picked up race morning:

• Time: 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Location: At the YMCA.
• Note: Expect longer lines on race morning.
• Registration: On site registration will be open until 7:00 AM.

🚗 Parking Information

The parking areas for the event will be in the grassy areas on the south side of the YMCA:

• Volunteers: Will be in the parking area to assist.
• Warning: Please DO NOT park in the YMCA lot or at the veterinary clinic next door! You may be towed.

👕 Shirts

Shirts and sizes are guaranteed if preregistered before April 20, 2025:

• Availability: After this date, shirts will be available while supplies last.
• Note: Some shirt sizes may not be available close to or on race date.
• Exchanges: No shirt exchanges until after the race, based on availability.

🏅 Medals

Every participant will receive a finisher medal:

• Placement Medals: Awarded to the top three finishers in each age 5-year age bracket.
• Categories: Male and Female in various age groups (e.g., Ten and Under, 11–14, up to 85 and older).
• Champions: Master Champion, Grand Master Champion, Overall Champion.

🏆 Special Awards

A special award will be given to the top Male/Female finisher who are currently serving or who have previously served in the U.S. Military or Public Safety Professions (Police, Sheriff, Corrections, Probation, Firefighter, EMS).
