This style of race is a bit different than most! You have a set number of laps to complete your race distance but you also have a set period of time you must complete each of those laps. Each lap you will be given 25 minutes to complete the 1.5 mile cross-country style course at the preserve (wide grass paths). If you finish the loop in 10 minutes, then you have 15 minutes to hang out by the fire! The race stage is set on an old farm that includes a large barn in an open field for parking and camping. If it gets too cold or rainy, feel free to bring your gear and hang out inside the barn with the rest of the crew who will be doing laps with you, ringing the bell, and watching the moon set and the sun rise as we bring in all of our amazing finishers!

This event is held at a nature preserve with an old barn that has been repurposed as an educational center of sustainability and renewable energy. The 1.5 mile course is held on a grass path that is very wide and includes a few rolling hills. During the route keep your eyes up looking for deer, birds, and a few fox meandering through the woods. Headlamps required.
There is 1 aid station located at the start/finish of each loop. HOT veggie soup/broth will be available all night. Items may include: pickles, cookies, chips, assorted candy, fig newtons, & pretzels. Hydration will include water, coke, and ginger ale. If you would like to donate an aid station supply of something that we do not offer or that is homemade feel free! Cup-less Event: Please provide your own hydration vessel for use at our aid stations.
The Barn will be the Start/Finish line of each loop and will provide our runners with a dry place to rest between laps. If you want some extra space for you and your crew you can set up 10 x 10 canopies along the course adjacent to the parking area. Please bring a stack of firewood to keep us warm all night! Please be mindful to place your personal belongings off the course as to not impede the runners, the flow of traffic, or other race participants. The start and finish line loop will serve as the official drop bag area designation. When you are finished with your race please "pack in and pack out" making the host facility look better than we found it.
