Description

One mile, straight downhill, on a summer evening. Over 100 feet of glorious elevation drop between the start line on Whitlee Court and the finish at the Confluence Center — a course built for exactly one purpose, which is to put a number on your watch that you did not think you had in you. Three seeded waves, so you are racing people at your own pace.

• What: The Downville Mile — three seeded waves: Open 7:00+, Open 5:30–7:00, and the Elite Race at 5:30 and under
• When: Saturday, May 29, 2027 — Open (7:00+) at 6:30 PM, Open (5:30–7:00) at 6:45 PM, Elite at 7:00 PM
• Where: Start line at 65 Whitlee Court: finish and parking at the Confluence Center

Course Information

• Distance: One mile, point to point, with over 100 feet of glorious downhill from Whitlee Court to the Confluence Center.
• Type: This is the fastest mile in the state and it is designed to be run flat out.

Parking Information

Parking is free at the Confluence Center, which is at the FINISH LINE of the race. All participants must walk or run to the start line as their warm-up before their race begins — please plan your travel time so races can start on schedule. Beginner runners and walkers may be driven to the start line, but all cars must be off the course by 6:00 PM.

Aid Stations

• Water Stations: No water stations on course — it is one mile.
• Finish Line: Water and three portable toilets are at the finish line.
