Rock'in Santa Half Marathon & Sunshine Santa 5K

🎄 Race Overview

Get into the holiday spirit with either a half marathon or 5K run Saturday, December 14th, 2024 from Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville, TN. Events benefit the Sunshine Ambassadors - Enriching the lives of people with disabilities through dance! Christmas Rock-n-Roll music will abound from Victor Ashe Park and along the routes.

🏅 Participant Benefits

• Custom Apparel: Participants of the half marathon will receive a custom ROCK'IN SANTA long sleeve performance hoodie and SUNSHINE SANTA long sleeve shirt for the 5K. Shirts not guaranteed after December 1st.
• Finishers Medal: Both half marathon & 5K finishers will receive a custom finishers medal.
• RaceJoy Mobile App: We have activated RaceJoy mobile app for this year's events with instructions to be sent closer to race day.
• Family Tracking: Family and friends can monitor your progress throughout the race with notifications.

📍 Route Information

• 5K Route: The 5k will start at the Pavilion and continue onto the Greenway to the back of the school and loop right back to the Start/Finish line. View 5K Route
• Half Marathon Route: The Greenway course will be 3 loops with a 4 hour time limit. Christmas music will be played at aid stations. View Half Marathon Route
• Relay Route: Each relay member completes 1 loop of 4.37 miles with music at aid stations along the route.
• Walkers Welcome: Walkers are welcome to participate, but police traffic control will end at 1 PM.

🎖️ Awards & Timings

Both Half Marathon & 5K will feature overall awards for the top three male and female finishers along with top male and female masters. Age group awards will also be given.

• Awards Ceremony: You must be present to pick up awards: they will not be shipped.
• Chip Timing: Events will be electronically chip timed with live results sent to participants.
• Tentative Award Times: 5K = 10:15 AM - Half Marathon = 12:30 PM.
• Support the Cause: Events benefit Knoxville's Sunshine Ambassadors, enhancing the holiday spirit.

🚫 Safety & Event Policies

• Headphones: Use of any headphone devices is discouraged due to safety hazards.
• No Refund Policy: Endurance Sports Management and Bald Eagle Events have a strict NO REFUND policy.
• Event Cancellation: Policies regarding natural or community disasters will be enforced for safety and feasibility.
• Non-Transferable Entries: Race entries cannot be transferred between individuals.

📍 Directions to Victor Ashe Park

From Downtown Knoxville:

Take Western Avenue headed west: after approximately four miles, turn right onto Pleasant Ridge Road: go approximately three miles and turn left onto Bradshaw Road: the park is on the immediate right.

From I-40:

From I-40, take the I-640 exit #385: take Western Ave. West: turn right onto Ballcamp Pk. at the Wendy's: turn right onto Bradshaw Rd: the park will be on the left.

From I-75:

From I-75, take the Merchant Drive exit #108: head west on Merchant Dr: turn left onto Pleasant Ridge Rd: turn right onto Bradshaw Rd: the park will be on the immediate right.
