Hardin Valley Hawk Trot 5K

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Whether you are a Hardin Valley Alumni or a local resident of the valley this race venue is as homely as can be and expects to become a local homegrown tradition.

🦃 Thanksgiving Tradition

• Community Event: The growing community of Hardin Valley can now boast about having their own Thanksgiving tradition.
• Who Can Join: Locals and others from beyond are welcome to join from runners to walkers and all paces between.
• Race Start Time: Race will begin promptly at 8:00am Thanksgiving morning from Hardin Valley Academy.
• Kids Mile Run: Little Hawk Kids one Mile Run will start at 7:30 for children under 10 years old who wish to register. Kids race will cap at 100 runners.

🏫 Race Course

• Course Features: The course will feature some flat, a light rolling hill through the parking lot of HVA.
• Memory Lane: It will spark a walk down memory lane for any student of the Hardin Valley school system.
• Course Connection: The course will connect all schools together from High - Middle - Elementary before returning back to finish at the High school Football/Track stadium.

📅 Packet Pickup and Amenities

• Packet Pickup: Packet pick up will be available the evening before at HVA from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, or race morning on campus at the HVA football/track complex beginning at 6:30am.
• Restroom Facilities: Restrooms will be available on site near the start/Finish area in the stadium as well as in academic building(s).
• Water Table: Water table will be available at halfway point of the race.
• Parking: Please plan on parking in front of HVA to avoid disrupting the course and runners during the race.

🏆 Awards

• Award Categories: Awards will be awarded to top 3 overall for each gender, top 3 per gender in 10-year increments, top master runner (over 40) per gender (no double awards for overall and age group).
• Kids Awards: All runners in the 1-mile run will receive a finisher medal!

💰 Registration Information

• Fee Increases: Registration fees will increase for both events starting early November, so register early for premier pricing!
• Join Us: Bring the family out to come fly Thanksgiving morning!
