🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

RAPTOR Inc. has been a leader in bird of prey conservation in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky for over 44 years. RAPTOR Inc.’s conservation activities include rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured birds of prey, conducting field research at the Raptor Center and at local nesting sites, collaborating with other like-minded conservation organizations, and educating the public about the value of these birds to the environment. Your participation in this event helps RAPTOR Inc. purchase essential items such as food, medications, medical supplies, and maintenance equipment necessary to fulfill our mission to conserve our magnificent local birds of prey.

🦉 Featured Medals

• Yearly Feature: Each year a different local bird of prey will be featured.
• 2022 Medals: Featuring the image of a Great Horned Owl.
• 2023 Medals: Featuring the image of a Peregrine Falcon.
• 2024 Medals: Featuring the image of a turkey vulture.
• 2025 Medals: The image of a bird of prey to be announced later.

📅 Race Day Schedule

• Check-In: Registration from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM.
• Race Start: 9:00 AM, Rain or Shine.
• Cancellation: If severe weather occurs, goodie bags and raffle will be distributed under the park shelter.

🏞️ Course Details

The 5K route will wind through the paved trails at beautiful Miami Meadows Park in Milford, OH.

👕 Registration Information

• Adult and Youth Registrations: Must be received by August 30 for a t-shirt and collectible medal.
• Post-August 30 Registrants: Will receive a t-shirt and collectible medal while supplies last.

🏆 Awards

The top 3 male and top 3 female runners will receive a one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic mug as a trophy from Whistle Stop Clay Works. The race is being professionally timed, and complete race results will be available at TimingSpot.com.

🛌 Sleep In Option

If you would prefer to “Sleep In” on race day, you can make a difference without leaving home. Your registration fee will support RAPTOR Inc.'s mission and your t-shirt and collectible medal will be available for pick up at the Raptor Center.

🎉 Post-Race Celebration

Family-Friendly Celebration Party to Follow Race. Friends, Family, and Community are welcome! We will have available snacks, drinks, fun nature-friendly activities, visits from RAPTOR Inc.'s LIVE Avian Ambassadors, and AMAZING RAFFLE PRIZES! Raffle items include a Falconry Field Experience for up to 6 People, a Behind the Scenes Tour of the Raptor Center, and MUCH MORE!

📦 Packet Pick Up

Packet Pick Up will take place at RAPTOR Inc., 961 Barg Salt Run Rd., Milford OH 45150 on Friday, Sept. 12th, 2025 from 10 AM - 8 PM, or on the morning of the race at Miami Meadows Park (arrive before 8:30 AM). Email Jackie.Bray@raptorinc.org if other arrangements are needed.

Sponsorship levels range from $100 to $1000+ and include great perks such as:

• Logo Placement: Company logo placed on the back of the race t-shirt (subject to printing deadlines).
