πββοΈ What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?
Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

π Event Overview
Community Event: This will be the third year in Acadiana and we are excited to bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.
Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) to walk or run this event. Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.

Packet Pickup: Details will be coming on packet pick up!
Same-Day Registration: Yes. Registration will open at 7AM the morning of the run.
Online Registration: Online registration will stay open until the start of the run, but if you wait to register, you may not get a t-shirt.
Parking: Yes. There will be ample parking available and directions will be sent out to participants.
π Race Participation
Bib Number: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
Running Position: This event is not timed but we will stage runners accordingly.
Awards: Yes, awards will be based on firefighters, police or military running in gear.
Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route.
πΌ Allowed Items
Participation Gear: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
Item Safety: Please leave all personal items and valuables in your vehicle. Tunnel to Towers Foundation will not be responsible for the loss of any items.
π° Fundraising and Donations
Registration Fee: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.
Packet Pickup by Others: Yes, they can pick up your packet with a copy of your registration receipt.
Post-Race Donations: Yes. Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.

Registration Transfers: Yes, you can transfer your registration to another participant.
No Refunds: We do not provide refunds for the event.

Receipts: When you register online you should automatically receive a receipt.
Medical Staff: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
