As Western North Carolina begins to recover from Hurricane Helene’s devastation, our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the storm. The Pisgah 5k race that was planned for October 19, will not be held as planned. It’s too soon to know when the event might take place in the future, but we will share updates as soon as we have them.

📚 Fundraising Initiative
We are raising funds for an initiative that will set our students on a path to succeed by boosting their reading abilities during their crucial 2nd grade year. Having more help in the classroom means more time for teachers to focus on student needs, ensuring better outcomes for all students.
- Teaching Assistant: Funds will go towards hiring a part-time teaching assistant for a 2nd grade class at Pisgah.
- Effective Lessons: This additional educator will facilitate small group reading lessons tailored to each student’s level.
- Support for All: Struggling students will receive intensive support while on-level students continue to progress.
- Reduced Burnout: Teacher burnout will decrease with an extra set of hands.
