Woodfin 5K

The 9th Annual Woodfin 5K will start Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 9:00 AM.

💖 Purpose and Donations

Your Registration and Donations will make a real difference for the children we are educating at our terrific neighborhood school, Woodfin Elementary. Since 2014, the Read - Write - Run event has raised more than $80,000 to support classrooms from Kindergarten through Grade 4.

🏫 Host and Support

The 5K run/walk is hosted by the Woodfin Elementary School with support and coordination from:

💲 5K Entry Fees

• $20: The first 24 people to sign up using Code "Woodfin24"
• $25: Until midnight on April 15th.
• $30: April 16 - 25th
• $35: April 26th: Race Day

Kid's 11 & Under: Run for Free and includes a race t-shirt. While FREE we do ask that they register online.

NOTE: After Noon on Thursday - April 24th - T-shirts are not guaranteed and/or may not be available in all sizes.

Saturday: April 26:

• 7:30 - 8:45 AM: Packet Pick Up & Onsite Registration at Woodfin Elementary School: 108 Elk Mountain Rd Woodfin, NC 28804
• 9:00 AM: START
• 10:15 AM (approx): Awards Ceremony

Top Masters [40+] Male/Female (1st, 2nd, & 3rd)
Age Group Awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd) Male/Female in the following age groups:
1-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-74, 75+

Race results and scoring will be determined by Gun Time.

👥 Volunteer Opportunities

Don't feel like running but still want to join the fun? We welcome you to Join the Volunteer Team. There are a bunch of pre-race projects and race day tasks we need help with - registration, course marshals, etc. The day starts at 7:00 AM with breakfast and coffee in the WES cafeteria.
