🎖️ What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running 3 miles through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
• Support: We honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 by supporting our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

• Community Event: This will be the 7th year in Fort Worth and we are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders and military, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers programs.

🚓 Honoring Our Heroes

• Local Impact: The Tunnel to Towers Foundation has been very active in supporting fallen first responders in the state of Texas.
• Officer Tribute: While attempting to arrest three serial robbers, Fort Worth Police Officer Garrett Hull lll of Fort Worth, Texas, was shot and killed on September 14, 2018.
• Legacy: Garrett was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He was also an avid outdoorsman.
• Survivors: He is survived by wife, Sabrina Hull and two daughters, Jordan and Tristen.

🏅 Event Details

• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles) to walk or run this event. Anyone can run, walk or experience this event.
• Packet Pickup: Luke’s Locker – Shops at Clearfork, 5255 Monahans Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76109
• Hours: Thursday and Friday, October 9th and 10th, 10am - 6pm.
• Same-Day Registration: Yes, registration will remain open until 8:15 am the morning of the event.

📋 Registration Information

• Online Registration: Online registration will remain open through the morning of the event. It will close at 8:15am.
• Bib Requirement: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
• Fast Runners: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral. (Arrive early)
• T-shirt Guarantee: Yes, all people who register to participate or volunteer before 9/21/2025 will be guaranteed a shirt.

🏆 Awards and Timings

• Medals: Yes, we will have top placement medals for select categories, finisher medals for all participants and the event will offer chip timing for those wanting to have a chip timed bib.
• Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route and there will be water available at the start/finish area.
• Allowed Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also permitted.
• Registration Fee: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.

• Packet Pickup: Someone else can pick up your packet for you. They must present a copy of your registration receipt.
• Donations: Yes. Donations will be accepted through November 2025 for this event.

• Fundraising: Yes! Once you are registered, you will be given directions to start your own fundraising page.
• Transfer Registration: Yes, please contact us at fortworth@t2t.org and we will manually change it in our system.
• Refund Policy: We do not provide refunds for the event.
• Volunteer Opportunities: Go online to our registration site and Register as a Volunteer.

🚑 Medical and Safety Measures

• Medical Staff: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
• Communication: There is also radio communication available on the course to help communicate with the EMS.
• Pets: No, please leave your furry friends at home. Animals are not allowed to participate in this event.
• Awards Details: Special Awards and Prizes for Fastest Fire, Police, Military: First, second and third place for various age categories.
