Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

The 47th Annual Turkey Trot 10K and 1 Mile Run provides a traditional quality running event for families & runners of all abilities. All proceeds go to the Tidewater Striders Scholarship fund.

🏁 Course Details

• One Mile Race: Starts at 8:15 AM - This is an out-and-back starting and finishing in front of the Mt Trashmore YMCA.
• 10K Race: Starts at 9 AM - This certified course loops through Windsor Woods, Mt Trashmore City Park, and finishes back at the Y.
• Strollers: Allowed on the course: please start from the back of the race.
• Dogs: Not allowed on the course.

🎽 Amenities & Post-Race

• T-shirts: Colorful long-sleeved T-shirts for all. Sign up early to guarantee shirt size!
• Refreshments: Onsite refreshments and a post-race party will be complimentary for race participants and volunteers in the YMCA parking lot.
• Awards: Age group awards will be announced at the party.
• Finisher Medals: To all registered for and completing each race.

📝 Registration Information

• Early Bird Pricing: $35 open through May 31st. Prices will increase to $40 until October 1, then $45 until November 1, and $50 until race day.
• Youth Discount: $8.00 discount for ages 22 and under through 11/27/24.
• Medals: For all finishers.
• Time Limits: One Mile cutoff is 8:50 AM. The 10K cutoff is 10:45 AM.

🏆 Awards

• 10K Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female.
• Age Groups: Male and Female: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over, plus Walkers top 3 overall.
• Mile Run/Walk Awards: Top 3 male and female in age groups: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-19, 20-39, 40 & above.
• Medals: For all finishers in both races.

📍 Miscellaneous Information

• Discount Option: There is a $3.00 savings if you opt out of receiving a quality T-shirt.
• Packet Pickup: Registration & pre-registered packet pick-up will be held on Wednesday, Nov 27th from 1:00 to 5:30 PM at Mt. Trashmore YMCA.
• Strider Plus/Legacy Runners: Your discount will be automatically applied at checkout - register by Nov 27th.
• Club Membership Discounts: A discount of $5.00 is available through Nov 27th, applied automatically during registration.
