GreenFest on the Greenbelt

🌿 Event Overview

• Event Name: GreenFest on the Greenbelt
• Date: April 12, 2025
• Location: FM 428 Greenbelt Park, Aubrey, TX
• Details: An event centered around health, wellness, and recreation featuring food trucks, vendors, and music.

🏃‍♂️ Race Distances

• 1 Mile Fun Run: A fun run around the festival area for all spectators to enjoy.
• 5K: A good introduction to off-road running/walking along the beautiful Greenbelt Trail.
• 10K: For the adventurous, with sections that are a little more technical than the traditional Greenbelt surface.
• Pets: Dogs on a leash are welcome to join, but strollers are not allowed due to unpaved course sections.

🌳 Organizers

• Presented by: The Greenbelt Alliance of Denton County, a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
• Mission: To raise funds for the Texas State Parks and Wildlife Department.
• Focus: Improving the Greenbelt and Ray Roberts Lake State Park.
• Volunteer Organization: Community-based fostering awareness of the Greenbelt.

🎁 Participant Perks

• Swag Bag: All participants of the 10K and 5K will receive a swag-bag with sponsor goodies.
• T-shirt: Each participant will receive an event t-shirt.
• Finisher Medal: All finishers will receive a medal.
• Refreshments: Finish line refreshments available for all participants.

🏆 Awards

• Prizes: Top 3 overall male and female finishers will receive prizes.
• Age Groups: Awards for top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65 & over.
• Celebration: Join us for the awards ceremony after the races.

• 6:45 AM: Race registration and packet pick-up open.
• 8:15 AM: 1 Mile Fun Run begins.
• 9:00 AM: Singing of the National Anthem.
• 9:15 AM: 10K begins.
• 9:30 AM: 5K begins.
• 11:00 AM: Awards Ceremony.
