The Big Run 5k

🏃‍♂️ On June 4, We Run Together.

Global Running Day is our holiday: a celebration of the activity we love and the sport that brings our community together. We’re inviting all runners and walkers to join us on June 5th to mark the occasion, set a goal and cross the finish line. We encourage you to bring your family, friends, and neighbors.

We want to see the whole community participate because, seriously, running together rocks. What you can expect:

• Mid-week excitement: It's on a Wednesday—who couldn't use a mid-week pump-up?
• Exclusive medals: Finisher medals. Not just any medal. A very cool, make-your-friends-jealous medal.
• Community support: Proceeds benefit the Knox County Parks and Rec Youth Scholarship Program. This program provides financial assistance to Knox County youths that would otherwise not be able to participate in Knox County youth sports programs.

• 5K Fun Run: Wed 6/5 at 6:30 am
• 5K Timed Run: Wed 6/5 at 7:00 pm

📍 Course Description

The course starts at the Cove and runs out and back on the greenway. We will run past the bridge and the new section under Northshore Dr to a turnaround point.

📝 Registration:

• Pre-registration: $25, Now through 6/3
• Race Day: $30, Race Day 6/4

📦 Packet Pickup:

• Date: Tues June 3, 10:00am - 7:00pm at Fleet Feet Knoxville, 11619 Parkside Dr, Knoxville, TN 37934 (both Fun Run & Timed)
• Fun Run Pickup: Wed June 4, 6:00am - 6:30am at The Cove, 11808 S Northshore Dr, Knoxville, TN 37922
• Timed Run Pickup: Wed June 4, 6:00pm - 6:45pm at The Cove, 11808 S Northshore Dr, Knoxville, TN 37922

🏆 Awards for 5K Timed Run:

• Overall awards: (40 Gift Card to Fleet Feet Knoxville): 1st Male, 1st Female, 1st Master Male, 1st Master Female, 1st Grand Master Male, & 1st Grand Master Female, 1st Senior Grand Master Male & 1st Senior Grand Master Female.
• Age group awards: ($20/$15/$10 Gift Card to Fleet Feet Knoxville): 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the following male and female age groups: <10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+.
