Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our 4th of July 5K Run/Walk. The course is a scenic 3.1 miles around Babcock Ranch, starting and finishing in Founder's Square.

👕 Shirt Cutoff Date

• Cutoff Date: June 20, 2025.
• Shirt Availability: Shirts ARE NOT guaranteed after this date.
• Extra Shirts: Any extra shirts will be available after the race.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: Wednesday, July 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Thursday, July 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Pickup Location: Babcock Ranch Lifestyle Office, 42911 Lake Babcock Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982.

🚗 Race Day Information

• Parking: Free ample parking is available near the starting area.
• Packet Pickup: 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. at 42850 Crescent Loop, Punta Gorda, FL 33982.
• Registration: 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m., cost is $40.00.
• Race Start Time: 7:30 a.m.

🍌 Post-Race Amenities

Post-race snacks are available after the race. Bathrooms and Water Stations will be located at the start and finish areas, and the water stop will also be at the halfway mark.

💧 Water Stations & Facilities

• Water Stations: Located at the halfway mark on the course and at the end of the finish line.
• Rest Rooms: Located next to the Start Line.
• Parking: Free parking is available in parking areas near Founder's Square.

🏆 Awards

Age group awards are based on off-chip time. There will be overall awards and finisher medals. If you don't stay for your award, you are responsible for coordinating with Babcock Ranch of when you will pick it up.

• Overall Awards: 1st Place Overall Awards: Male & Female.
• Age Group Awards: 1st Place Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters: Male & Female.

In-person awards to the top three M/F in the following age groups: 9 and Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

• Is this a timed race? Yes, the 5K is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.
• Is there an Untimed fun run? Yes, the untimed fun run will start with the timed 5K.
• What is the course surface like? The course is paved roads and sidewalks.
• Are dogs allowed on the course? You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. Your pet must be leashed at all times and up to date on vaccinations. Please pick up after your pooch.

Participants with dogs will start at the back of the race. Strollers are allowed, and participants with strollers must start at the back of the race. The course is good for spectators.
