- Event: The Run for Prevention is a chipped and timed 5K Family Run and Walk that is suitable for all ages and abilities.
- Location: Run will be held at beautiful Babcock Ranch.
- Community: Bring your family and friends, form a team, and support an extraordinary non-profit.
- Access: Our course is stroller and pet friendly.
🏆Team Competition
- Largest Team: The largest team will win the JOSH TROPHY and bragging rights for the year!
- Registration: T Shirts for the first 300 registrants.
- Discount: Team members receive a $5.00 discount.
- Sizes: T shirts sizes are not guaranteed.
🗓️Race Details
- Start Time: The Run begins at 8:00 a.m.
- Packet Pickup: Pre-Race Packet Pickup is January 30, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Titan Contracting, 2558 Fourth Street, Fort Myers, FL.
- Race Day: Race day packet pickup is 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., at Founder's Square, Babcock Ranch.
- Weather Policy: This event will be held "rain or shine" with no refunds.
⏱️Chipping and Timing
- Service Provided By: Chipping and Timing Services provided by BEACH BUM TIMING.
- Awards Ceremony: Awards will follow the end of the Run.
- Gender Awards: Awards to male and female: First Place Male and Female.
- Age Group Awards: Awards to male and female, 3 deep, in the following age groups: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 and Up.
🌟Cause
- Support: All proceeds from Run for Prevention support Drug House Odyssey, our Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Prevention Clubs and drug and alcohol abuse prevention in Lee County.
- Nonprofit Status: Drug Free Lee is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
