🏃‍♂️ Warrior Walk Overview

Warrior Walk is a twelve-hour charity fundraising event for The Wounded Warrior Project sponsored by Red Rope, where you reach out to family members, friends, or whoever is willing to sponsor YOU or YOUR TEAM for every lap that you run. The race will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with the loop starting and ending between the Embry-Riddle Student Union and the Willie Miller Instructional Center.

• Event Duration: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Location: Between the Embry-Riddle Student Union and the Willie Miller Instructional Center
• Participation: Individuals can walk/run for as long as they would like
• Team Size: Recommended 2-15 members with at least one member running at a time

💵 Registration Details

Signup is $10.00 a person and an additional $20.00 for a shirt. Registration will get you access to potential prizes that will be awarded to categories such as:

• Most miles run: By a team/individual
• Most money raised: By a team/individual
• Best team name: Recognition will be given
• Awards ceremony: Additional details to be announced

📈 Fundraising Instructions

In order to set up donation pledges for your team, please follow the list below:

• Step 1: Go to the "Donations" tab and select "Become a Fundraiser"
• Step 2: Input your individual information, team name, and a shared password
• Step 3: Optionally, include a brief message about your team
• Step 4: Go to your profile tab and click on "edit fundraiser" for your team fundraiser
• Step 5: Enable pledges via a new tab unlocked after editing your fundraiser
• Note: DO NOT put in the final number of laps until after the completion of the race
• URL Access: You will receive a URL to send out for family and friends to make pledges
• Deadline: Final payments for pledges will be collected until April 30th, 2024: however, ensure all donations are in by 11:59 PM April 21st, 2024 for eligibility in certain prizes. Awards ceremony and total funds pledged will be announced on April 21st, 2024.

• Training Opportunity: Red Rope aims to provide ERAU students with a Special Operations style of training
• Community Service: Emphasizing community involvement through the Red Cross, volunteering, and events
• Internal Competition: Encouraging members to push beyond their limits in a team-oriented environment
