🌳 Race Overview
Description: The Urban Environmental Challenge is the first true trail race in the five boroughs!
Location: Historic Van Cortlandt Park in the heart of the Bronx.
Race Type: 10k race for runners only.
Health Advisory: While the COVID-19 vaccination is not required at this time, we ask that all participants remain at home if they are not feeling well.
💵 Registration Fees
Pre-registration: $35
Race Day Fee: $40 (registration from 8:30-10:05 a.m. only)
Discounts: Special price for 10k runners aged 14-18 and Veterans.
Support: A portion of your race fees goes to support the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance for trail maintenance and youth programs.
🏆 Prizes and Souvenirs
Souvenir: All registered participants will receive a race souvenir.
Winners: Male and female 10k winners receive a cake from Lloyd's Carrot Cake.
Runners-Up: Second and third place 10K runners and age group winners will receive muffins.
🚉 Transportation Information
Public Transit: Take the 1 Train to 242nd street and walk 500 yards: check online for subway updates.
Metro North: Runners can take Metro North Hudson Line to Marble Hill.
Jog: From Marble Hill, it is about a 1.5 mile jog to the start of the race.
Driver Info: Free Parking is available at the Van Cortlandt Golf Clubhouse and all along Broadway.
