🏃‍♂️ The 36th Annual Kenneth Dolan Memorial 5k Run

Sunday, June 1, 2025 - Prospect Park Brooklyn, New York. All runners are welcome to join us for the free after party featuring activities for the family, food, drinks, and music!

🎉 Fundraiser Event

Kenneth Dolan Memorial Run Fundraiser to be held at Farrell's Bar, 215 Prospect Park W, Brooklyn, NY 11215, on Friday, May 9th at 6:30pm.

💖 A Special Thought

• Kenny Dolan: was alive for a brief 23 years. Yet in that time, he not only brought a tremendous amount of joy to a great number of people, but more importantly, he taught them how to laugh, love and have fun.
• Tragic Event: Tragically, on March 14, 1990 Kenny passed away as a result of an automobile accident.
• Memorial Fund: The Kenny Dolan Memorial Fund at Iona College has been established from this race to assist a student in need of financial support for his or her education.
• Legacy: It is in this spirit that Kenny will be remembered.

🏁 Course Information

• Start and Finish: at Bartel Pritchard Square (15th Street & Prospect Park West).
• Time: 10 a.m. (rain or shine) - Pee Wee races to follow.

🏆 Awards

• Top Five Overall: Male and Female - Cash Prizes of $150, $100, $50, $50 and $50.
• Age Group Awards: Top five in each age group.
• No Duplication: of awards.

📋 Categories

8 and under, 9-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+, racewalkers, First Iona College Graduate/Undergraduate Male and Female, First NYPD, FDNY, SDNY, Teacher and Clydesdale Divisions, Male and Female.

👥 Teams

Top Three Male & Female Teams (3-person teams), Top Masters’ Team Male and Female, Lowest combined three person times. Team name must be on application.

🏅 Pee Wee Fun Run

• Medal: All Pee Wee competitors will receive a medal.
• 100 yard run: 4 and under.
• 220 yard run: 8 and under.
• 440 yard run: 10 and under & 12 and under.

🚗 Directions

• By Car: LIE to BQE to Prospect Expressway – 10th Avenue Exit make right at light, then next two rights onto Prospect Park West. Holy Name Church is located between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue on Prospect Park West. Registration is in the school basement.
• By Bus: Holy Name Church stop is at the end of the B68 as well as along the B67 line.
• By Train: F train to 15th Street/Prospect Park Station. Holy Name Church is located on Prospect Park West between Windsor Place and Prospect Avenue.
