2025 Geo Foundation 3rd Annual 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Date: 2025-06-08
• Location: Brookdale Park, Bloomfield, NJ
• Registration: 8am
• Race Start: 9am

🎉 Ceremonies

• Welcome Ceremony: 8:50am
• Closing Ceremony: Approximately 9:45am
• Official Timing: The event will be timed, using a USATF certified course map.
• Race Format: Three laps around the park for runners, one lap for walkers.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place awards for various age groups.
• Women: 40+, 20-39, 11-19
• Men: 40+, 20-39, 11-19
• Special Awards: For all participants 10 and Under.

🥳 Additional Details

• Start Order: Runners will start first, followed by walkers.
• Timing Option: Participants can opt out of being timed during registration.
• Food & Refreshments: Available at both the beginning and end of the event.

💖 About Geo Foundation

The Geo Foundation honors George "Geo" Batikha and the many youth and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer. All proceeds will go towards our two programs:

1. Community Fund: Scholarships awarded to promising youth who champion our cause.
2. Family Assistance Fund: Direct grants provided to families who have a child going through cancer. Any funds not donated by the end of the year are donated to a charity focused on supporting families impacted by youth cancer. Currently that non-profit is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
