2025 Geo Foundation 3rd Annual 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

Join us for a day of togetherness, fun, and movement outdoors.

⏱️ Race Details

• Timing: This event will be officially timed.
• Course: Although we are not yet a USATF sanctioned event, we use a USATF certified course map.
• Distance: The map is roughly 3 laps around the park. Walkers will do one lap, runners will do all three.
• Choice: You have a choice to not be timed while registering, if you'd prefer to not be timed.

🏆 Awards

• Categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Women 40+, Women 20-39, Women 11-19.
• Men: Men 40+, Men 20-39, Men 11-19.
• Special Awards: Special Awards for all participants 10 and Under.
• Start Order: We will have runners start their race first, followed by walkers.

🍎 Refreshments

We will have food and refreshments available at both the beginning and end of the event.

More about Geo Foundation and our cause:

• Honoring: The Geo Foundation honors George "Geo" Batikha and the many youth and young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer.
• Programs: All proceeds will go towards our two programs: Community Fund and Family Assistance Fund.
• Scholarships: Community Fund: Scholarships awarded to promising youth who champion our cause.
• Grants: Family Assistance Fund: Direct grants provided to families who have a child going through cancer. Any funds not donated by the end of the year are donated to a charity focused on supporting families impacted by youth cancer. Currently, that nonprofit is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

📅 Event Date

The 3rd Annual 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk will take place on June 8, 2025, at Brookdale Park, Bloomfield, NJ.
