Tidewater Striders Scholarship 5K & Kids Mile

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event Date: July 29, 2025
• Location: Virginia Beach Sportsplex
• Registration: You are encouraged to pre-register for this event.
• Instructions: You will receive complete details with your final instructions (via email) before the event.

📅 Race Schedule

• Race Day: The race has moved back to the original day, the last Tuesday evening in July.
• Mile Start: 1 Mile starts at 6:00 PM.
• 5K Start: 5K starts at 6:30 PM.

🎟️ Raffle Tickets

• Availability: Additional raffle tickets will be available on race day.
• Donation: 3 tickets for $20 donation, 10 tickets for $50 donation.

👕 Shirt Registration

• Registration Fee: $50, which includes a Race shirt and 5 Raffle tickets.
• Deadline: You have until July 7th to sign up for the shirt option.
• Post Deadline: After that, only the non-shirt option will be available.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Location: Pre Race Packet Pick up will be held at Running etc VB.
• Date: Monday, July 28th from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

🏞️ Course Details

• 5K Course: Starts in front of the Sportsplex, loops around the Sportsplex parking lot, then follows the trail behind the Sportsplex and finishes inside the Sportsplex.
• 1 Mile Course: Loops around the parking lot and finishes inside the stadium.

🏆 Additional Information

• Strider Grand Prix: This is a Strider Grand Prix event.
• HR Super Grand Prix: The scholarship 5K is also an HR Super Grand Prix event.

🍕 After Party

• Location: Inside the Sportsplex.
• Activities: Enjoy beer, pizza, and a huge raffle with awesome prizes.
• Prizes Value: Over $10,000 in prizes to be given out!

• Raffle Donations: If you would like to donate an item to our raffle, please contact Thomas at Orangerunning@yahoo.com.

👟 Additional Options

• Strider Plus: Use the NO SHIRT sign-up option for the discount.
• Volunteer: Volunteers needed - you can still participate and volunteer.

🚶‍♂️ Competitive Walking Division

• Registration: If you register under the Competitive walking division, you must walk the entire race.
• Alternative Division: If you are going to run/walk, register for the 5K Run/Walk Division.
