🏃‍♂️ The Angry Chicken Race Series

The Angry Chicken Race Series is back in 2025!

📏 Race Details

• Distance: 2.62 miles – a tenth of a marathon!
• Direction: Runners go counter-clockwise (against traffic) on the loop portion of the course.
• Dates: Races are held each Tuesday evening starting at 7PM (early start at 6:50), from June 10th to August 12th (eight races).
• Scoring: 1000 points to the race winner, and everyone else a percentage based on their finish time.

🎭 Themes and Prizes

• Theme: Each race will have a theme.
• Costume Prize: A small prize for the best costume!
• Vote for Themes: Join our Facebook group at this link to help choose the themes.
• No Race: There will be no race the week of July 1st and no race July 29th.

📍 Location

• Start/Finish: The races begin and end at the S-curve at the entrance to the Riverwalk (at the end of River Place road).
• Bib Pick-Up: Tuesdays from 6:00 to 6:45 PM at Marx Running and Fitness, 118 Merrimack Street in downtown Lowell.
• Cost: $10 per race when registering online – $70 if you register for the whole series.
• Manual Registration: $12 per race if registering in person using cash or check.

🎉 Donations & Charity

• Beneficiary: Donations benefit Catie's Closet, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
• Mission: Provides clothes, toiletries, and other basic essentials to students living in poverty within their schools.
• Final Race Collection: We’ll be collecting new and gently used youth/teen clothing, and full-sized toiletries on August 12th.
