🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Owensboro Family YMCA is proud to host the BBQ 5K on May 10, 2025, downtown Owensboro.

🕗 Race Details

This race is in conjunction with the 2025 BBQ & Barrels event and the community is invited to run or walk with us: competitive racers will stage in the front of the start line at 8:00 a.m. and non-competitive racers will be at the back of the start line.

💵 Registration Pricing

• Adults: $35
• Children (1-18): $20 (registration will discount at the cart)
• Day of Race Registration: $40 (cannot guarantee shirt)
• Bag Pick Up: Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9 (5am to 9pm) at the Owensboro Family YMCA

🎽 Race Day

• Raceday Bag Pickup: from 7-7:45am at race location
• T-shirts: on registrations received by April 26th
• Awards: Top male and top female will get $100 worth of prizes
• Medals: awarded to the top 3 racers in each age group

Age Groups: 1-10, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99

Be sure to visit the BBQ & Barrels festival which begins at Noon on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10.

🎉 Cultural Celebration

BBQ & Barrels represents the culmination of 45 years of a cultural tradition in Owensboro and Daviess County. It is the celebration of our past, our present, and our future, bringing together two of Owensboro’s greatest culinary traditions – unique barbecue and historic Kentucky bourbon.
