Care Net 5K Reindeer Run/Walk

🎉 Event Overview

• Event Date: December 6, 2025
• Location: Smothers Park, Owensboro, KY
• Description: The 10th Annual Care Net 5K Reindeer Run/Walk is a family-fun event open to runners and walkers of all types so grab your family members, friends, or co-workers and join the fun!
• Fundraising Option: This year we are adding a fundraising option to our race so that your friends and families can get involved and help support the work of Care Net Owensboro!

🏆 Fundraising Rewards

• Opportunities: Race participants and non-participants who choose to raise funds for CNO will have the opportunity to earn a CNO beanie, a $30 registration refund, a hoodie, and a chance at other exclusive prizes including a six-month family membership to the YMCA for the top individual fundraiser!
• Team Challenge: For more fundraising fun, create a team and set the goal to be the team that raises the most for recognition in our January Newsletter!
• Incentives: Participate in fun and engaging fundraising activities!

🎅 Race Details

• Timed Event: This race will be a timed event for the purpose of awarding winner divisions.
• Dress Code: Participants are encouraged to come dressed in Holiday attire (ugly sweaters, Santa hats, bells, fun socks, etc.).
• Activities: Visit with Santa, sip hot chocolate or coffee from Overflow Cafe, enjoy a nibble from Great Harvest Bread Company, and be entered into our door prize drawings!
• Registration Fees: The early-bird registration fee is $30 through 9/30/24. Standard registration fee is $35 until 11/30/24, and then the price increases to $40.

👕 Shirt and Prizes

• Included: Race entry fee includes a long-sleeved race shirt if registered by 11-18-24 and entry for door prize drawings.
• Note: Participants registering after 11-17-24 will not receive a race shirt.
• Reindeer Dash: Don’t forget about the Reindeer Dash for children 7 and under. This short dash down Veterans Blvd. is a chance for young ones to run with Santa and his reindeer to the finish line!
• Medals: All little runners will receive a winner’s medal at the finish line.

🏅 Awards

• Top Rewards: Top Overall Time (male & female)
• Division Awards: 1st & 2nd Division Times (male & female): 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

🕗 Event Schedule

• Kids Reindeer Dash: 8:00am
• 5K Reindeer Run/Walk: 8:30am

📍 Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: Friday, December 6th from 12 noon – 6:00pm
• Location: Care Net Owensboro, 425 East 18th Street, Owensboro, KY 42303
• Race Day Pickup: Packet pickup will also be available on race day at Smothers Park starting at 7:30 a.m.

• This event raises funds to serve the young men and women of Owensboro and the surrounding areas through Care Net Owensboro.
• CNO offers help, hope, and compassion to anyone who finds themselves in an unplanned pregnancy or with concerns of a sexually transmitted infection.
• CNO provides pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and STI testing and treatment.
• All of the services at CNO are confidential and at no cost to the client.
