Oakley Overcomes, Inc. presents: Mimosas for Marrow 5K

Join us for the 4th annual Mimosas for Marrow 5K run/walk—a joyful, heartfelt event that brings our community together to support families affected by blood cancers and disorders, and to honor the incredible strength of those searching for a lifesaving bone marrow donor.

Inspired by Oakley’s Journey

• Background: This event was created by local moms, Sam and Brittany, after Sam’s daughter, Oakley, received a lifesaving bone marrow transplant in 2022.
• Mission: Her courage continues to fuel our mission to support NMDP and families right here in our community walking similar roads.

Why It Matters

• Diagnosis Rate: Every 3–4 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer or disorder.
• Hope: For many, a matching donor is their only hope.
• Difference: Your presence, your steps, and your support truly make a difference.

• Volunteers: Countless volunteers
• Funds Raised: Over $76,000 raised
• Registry: 56 new potential bone marrow donors added to the registry—including two who have already saved lives.

Event Highlights

• Team Display: Largest team gets their team’s name displayed along the race route.
• Fundraising Reward: Individual who raises the most funds on an individual fundraiser wins two tickets to the Flyers game.
• Mimosa: Free mimosa (21+).
• Activities: Live entertainment, delicious food, face painting, characters, photobooth, raffles, and bounce house.
