🥂 A Race to Cure, A Toast to Hope
Join us for the 3rd annual Mimosas for Marrow 5K run/walk, a heartfelt event to support families affected by blood cancers and disorders, and honor the resilience of those seeking a lifesaving bone marrow transplant.
👶 Inspired by Oakley's Journey
Local moms, Sam and Brittany, driven by love and gratitude, founded this event after Sam's daughter, Oakley, received a lifesaving bone marrow transplant in 2022. Oakley's story fuels our mission to raise awareness and funds for NMDP (formally known as Be The Match) - the world’s largest and most diverse marrow donor registry.
⏳ The Urgency
Every 3-4 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer or disorder. Time is crucial. A matching donor can be the only cure.
💪 Your Impact
Over the past two years, the Mimosas for Marrow 5K has built a remarkable community, with over 1,700 registered participants, supportive small businesses, and numerous volunteers coming together to raise nearly $45,000. Our collective efforts have also led to the addition of 43 potential bone marrow donors to the registry, including two who have gone on to save lives.
