🏃♂️ Event Overview
This 5K is a race that includes trails. Just as our title says, we run trails. The event starts and finishes at the Mattawan High School track.
🌲 Course Details
- Starting Point: The race begins on a paved road leading around to the high school.
- Wooded Section: The run enters a wooded area for about a half mile, which is a trail section.
- Trail Surfaces: Expect grass (sometimes dewy), dirt, sand, gravel sections, and possible wet grass/mud.
- Finishing Loop: After exiting the woods, the run continues through the Mattawan grounds on paved surfaces, back to the road, and around to the finish line on the track.
🍽️ Post-Race Amenities
- Food & Beverages: Available after the race for participants.
- Dogs: Not allowed on the course.
- Walkers & Strollers: Required to wait until all runners have crossed the start line.
- Weather Policy: In inclement weather, the race may be delayed or canceled. No refunds will be given.
